2020 Intern Projects

Virtual Learning Platform

In 2020 PARC will release its first edition of a virtual learning platform (VLP). Youth from around the world will be able to learn coding with varying levels of difficulty using the VLP. The PARC interns will have the opportunity to present ideas on fun learning activities that should be offered in the VLP.

Social Media Branding

Social media has become a powerful platform to communicate with people around the globe. The PARC interns will be challenged to create engaging content that tells the story of PARC and share our vision of inspiring future African scientist and engineers.

PARC Youth Forum

The next edition of PARC will be held summer 2021 in Kigali, Rwanda. During the competition there will be a youth forum where youth from the African continent and diaspora will give student panel discussions and presentations on their innovations. The PARC interns will work to begin planning the youth forum.

Fundraising Framework

For teams competing at PARC, the robot kit, meals, and lodging is provided. However, teams must raise funds to cover their transportation to PARC and other expenses. The PARC interns will work to develop a framework that PARC teams can use to help them raise funds to cover their expenses.
