STEM education is of paramount importance to prepare our youth to face the highly technical requirements of the increasingly technological world we live in. The Pan-African Robotics Competition (PARC) is an All-African Robotics competition which brings together middle, high-school, University robotics teams to participate in a competition around a challenge based on a real-world topic relevant to science and the sustainable development of Africa. The objective is to provide:

  • Better understanding of how STEM is used to solve real-world problems
  • Early engagement of young girls and boys in STEM
  • And inspiring young Africans to be science and technology leaders

As the Co-Organizer of the Pan-African Robotics Competition, the Ministry of Higher Education and Research under the leadership of Pr. Mary Teuw NIANE looks to promote innovation and education in the field of science and technology in all schools.

Our History

The Pan-African Robotics Competition (PARC) is founded by Dr. Sidy Ndao, a tireless advocate of STEM education for the sustainable development of Africa. In May 2016, the first edition of the Pan-African Robotics Competition was organized in Dakar, Senegal with over 200 participants. PARC is a collective effort of a group of dedicated STEM advocates accross the African continent.
