Team Registration

Registrations are open for PARC 2017: MADE IN AFRICA - MAY 18 - 20, 2017 (Dakar, Senegal).

An eligible PARC team must have a minimum of eight (8) and a maximum of ten (10) students. Each team can have up to two adult mentors. Schools/Organizations can send up to two teams in different competition categories.

All teams must register by April 7, 2017.

Chalenge & Rules

PARC 2017 - Made in Africa: Manufacturing of both goods and services are essential to the economic growth of African nations.

Challenge & Rules will be published Tuesday, April 4, 2017.

Save the Date: PARC 2017 Kickoff Meeting will be Saturday April 8, 2017 ONLINE. 

PARC2017 challenges students to devise solutions for increasing Africa’s manufacturing and processing capacity of foods and goods using science and technology.

    Resource Mining: The sustainable and effective exploitation of Africa’s natural resources is essential for the growth of Africa’s manufacturing’s sector.

    Warehouse Mania: In the near future, manufacturing and distribution warehouses will be staffed with robots.

    Automated Sorting System: This year's challenge is to design, build, and automate instrumentations for a sorting system in a manufacturing plant.

    Makers League (Research/Project)

    (Open to high school teams) - Supply Chain Management: Teams are challenged to research and present a complete and sustainable supply chain management plan for a choosen product.

Awards

Prizes and trophies will be awarded to teams to celebrate their outstanding overall performance. Category awards will be also presented to teams who excel in specific categories: Robot Game, Poster Presentation, and Oral Presentation. Certificates of participation will be awarded to all participants.

Additionally, individual scholarships will be awarded to students with exceptional school academics records.
